The main premise of the game is to be assigned cards adding up to 21. Each player is given two cards. When a gambler is given a 9 or less and an Ace they’ve been given a soft hand. When the gambler receives no Ace it is called as a hard hand. Once the cards have been handed to all players at the blackjack table, including the dealer, each player is provided the chance to make one of 6 decisions:
Requesting another card (Hit): When a player says hit me the croupier will deal them another card, if the adding of that card causes the total greater than twenty one the blackjack player will have busted and that’s the end of the game, if the card pushes the total to twenty one the black jack player will be the winner and if the value of the hand hasn’t yet achieved twenty one they’re still in the game.
Keeping the hand you’ve been dealt: If a black jack player is happy with the hand they’ll hold. As soon as this has happened the croupier will disclose his/her cards and the player who has accumulated twenty one or the closet to twenty one will win.
Doubling Down: A player may ask to double down which increases the wager by 100% they have made. Once you’ve taken this action you can only receive one more card. The specifics of doubling down are normally specified by the table or casino game rules so prior to competing be certain you’re familiar with the casino established rules. If you’re playing at a net betting house this is usually quite easy.
Watch for part 2.
